Cardinal Marc Ouellet, the man in charge of the world's bishops

Cardinal Marc Ouellet is getting a lot of attention.
- 68 years old
- Strong ties to Latin America: Taught Theology at the major seminary at Bogota and president of the Pontifical Commission for Latin America.
- Frequent contributor to Communio, a theological magazine founded by Joseph Ratzinger and Hans Urs von Balthasar.
- Served on the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity.
- Former Archbishop of Quebec and Primate of Canada.
- Prefect of the Congregation for Bishops which means he made all recommendations to the Pope on Episcopal appointments
- Fluent in six languages: his native French, English, Spanish, German, Italian and Portuguese.
